A while ago, I stopped waiting for “the right opportunity” to magically appear. Instead, I did something very simple. I took a notebook. And I wrote down company names Then I did the unglamorous work no one talks about: • Visited each company’s career page • Created profiles one by one • Uploaded my resume again & again • Set job alerts • Read role descriptions carefully No shortcuts. No referrals. No hype. Some days it felt pointless. Some profiles never got a response. Some portals felt like black holes. But here’s what changed: I stopped feeling “lost.” I had a target. I knew where I wanted to be. This process didn’t just apply for jobs it trained my mind to think long-term, stay consistent, and take control Job hunting isn’t always about luck. Sometimes it’s about discipline when no one is watching

8. And that feeling made it possible for me to write this piece today. I can’t remember the last time I wrote something from start to finish in one sitting, but I just did. It’s going to be a goooood year. 🥂

7. To ease into it, I took someone’s advice to reread books I’ve read before. I picked up The Alchemist again and finished it in four days. The way I feel right now is something I haven’t felt in a very, very long time. I can’t remember the last time I finished a book.

1. Book 0/12 completed. I used to be an avid reader. It was a habit, a part of my daily routine. Some years ago, I shared the books I had read on my former Twitter account (now hacked) and even had people slide into my DMs to ask how I did it.
