You can set amount times and/or an expire date. I have had the same on a few plugin and theme downloads that I have bought. I never found it confusing. So I haven't even thought of changing it

And at some points the links when you clicked 1 time was set as downloaded. So instead of us handling loads of broken downloads customer gets a certain time to get it.

I work with this for a living. I do not gate keep information. All is out there. The vm is just condensed information so you don't have to learn.

We do provide you with the link and docs that will build your own image that will be based on something built today. You don't have to buy anything.

The time spent on bugs to give feedback to devs All the time I spend on promoting open source software. Yes the charge is fair, You pay for convenience. I do make money on it. All because you did not get a new download link to start from scratch. Something that costs 36 euro for a new link.
@JasonDeFuria @Nextclouders @tmhanssonit @kafitab No we don't offer support for free on that image. But the base is a standard Ubuntu vm. And most configurations are standard. And no we don't do automatic upgrade to a new Ubuntu major. But we do have auto minor upgrades in the vm.
