There are more than 150 medical schools in the U.S., but to this day, two HBCUs, Howard & Meharry medical schools, still produce the MOST Black physicians. It’s past time for PWIs to step up & commit to educating a diverse workforce. HBCUs can’t continue to do the heavy lifting.

Before your interview… Be a detective and find out “personal info” about your interviewer ✍🏾💼 (It’ll help guide your interview and calm your nerves😉) Ie. One of my interviewers was from Chicago at a program out of state. I made mention and we talked about Chicago food.

@AibangbeeErica Hey! Not necessarily a template (remember personalize), but a format? YES! 2-3 sentences introducing myself 2-3 sentences mentioning something unique about THAT program 2-3 sentences demonstrating what I can bring to the table (VERY specific to myself.. Ie your background)

@julianachaveso Hey! All you need is a solid 2-3 max. Interview season can get very draining. Trust you’ll get better and better with each interview. Don’t use all your stamina on mock interviews☺️
