@DrMamaEsq Aside from that, lighting and a defined jawline is key in #portrait #photography if you want to convey a strong, positive, professional impression. All 4 pics those elements, but minor tweaking of the #camera #lens wrt your eye level is what creates power & authority vs obedience

@DrMamaEsq Create trust by choosing photos where the eyes are most in focus. 1 is great - crop square, like 3. Fewer books = more open. 3 is also good - straight on, not a top down shot, and right edge shows there is more beyond pic = expansive #portrait #photography #professionalheadshot

@DrMamaEsq If choosing 4, crop less to show more of the suit to give more context & more space above head; if choosing 2, crop so background is more like 4 - in terms of not having all 3 sides of a rectangle surrounding the person. They’re all good. No bad choices #portraits #photography

Playland Terminal, 1963 This was the end of the line for the then 5-McAllister. La Playa & Balboa had been a terminal since the steam train days of the Park & Ocean Railroad. (nerds: it's Fageol Twin Trolley Coach 656 sporting an experimental green & cream livery) #sfhistory

@peterhartlaub Here's another likely dead end. I think this is Muni Photographer Ken Snodgrass at the Japanese Tea Garden, Apr 66. (by then Muni Photogs were shooting for multiple city agencies) He likely knew our mystery man, since they both took the Muni workers photos at Presidio in Nov 65
