Think of what that money could have done for the poor, says the man who turns Christ over to the Roman authorities, and later hung himself in despair. He makes the statement when Lazarus's sister Mary annoints the feet of Jesus with a costly perfume.   The wisdom in making a misapplied, deceitful and narcissistic empathic altruism the sin of the betrayer of Christ Himself is breathtaking. It's another example (along with bottomless depths of the story of Cain and Abel and the brazen serpent who is also Jesus) of the truly incomprehensible literary genius of the Biblical canon.

My activities are still very limited at the moment. I have been doing some writing, however–thank God. I'm so relieved to be once again doing something creative and useful. I have also been watching Professor Paul Kengor's The Dark Side of Marxism from @petersonacademy.   It does not feature the Marx portrayed by the woke university socialist acolytes (to put it mildly). I interviewed @DrPaulKengor a year ago or so ago on my podcast. He's a truly engaging, creative and witty storyteller and lecturer. It turns out that Old Karl was quite the satanic soul. He was a parasite economically all his life, extorting continual support from his long-suffering relatives. He wrote (and admired) purposefully demonic poetry and drama. Most disturbing, however, was his choice of favorite quote. From Goethe's Faust, it's a line I have quoted many times, in consequence of its sheer existential horror. It's Mephistopheles presenting his identity and central credo: “I am the Spirit that endlessly denies! And rightly, too; for all that comes to birth Is fit for overthrow, as nothing worth; Wherefore the world were better sterilized; Thus all that's here as Evil recognized Is gain to me, and downfall, ruin, sin. The very element I prosper in.” I wonder if Zohran Mamdani @NYCMayor knows of the inclination of his apparent intellectual hero?

To the Americans: I've travelled all over the world. I've familiarized myself with many places, and met many people. And I'm a Canadian, although I’m privileged to reside once again in the States. And here's something I've noticed, and it’s a key element of America's continuing greatness: You bloody Americans value success, and you believe in its existence. This is something that doesn't really happen anywhere else in the world. Even in other free democracies—the United Kingdom; Finland, Sweden, and Norway; Australia, New Zealand and Canada; Germany, France, and the Netherlands (great countries all)—a counterproductive cynicism too often reigns. Success is equated with exploitation. Ambition is looked upon with contempt. This happens sometimes in the United States too—particularly among the miserable progressives, who confuse their resentment, ingratitude and unearned skepticism with wisdom. But in your great country, by and large, striving is admired and success celebrated. This means that more people strive and succeed in the US than anywhere else. And it's increasingly obvious. You remain stunningly more innovative and productive than any people anywhere else on the planet. And so I say, as all should who are fortunate enough to live in the western world, let alone America: Thank God for the United States. Thank God for the wisdom of its founders. Thank God for its faith in the free market and in the natural rights of man. Happy birthday, you damn Yankees and Southerners. Long may your admirable country dominate the world. Long may your freedom and hope provide an example to those suffering everywhere at the hands of their malevolent states. I know it seems the same. But it's not. Mormons are some of the nicest people you can ever know, and my heart goes out to you. There is the real, eternally existing Jesus who actually came to earth. This Jesus is the Great I Am and always has been ONE in essence with the Heavenly Father, coequal with the Holy Spirit. He is the never-created, always and forevermore the perfect and Almighty LORD of the Universe and Maker of all things, the Jesus who is in perfect unity with the Father, together with the Holy Spirit as ONE and the absolute sustainer of all molecules that hold the cells in your body together with nothing more than the sound of His Voice (the Word). This Jesus is imperfectly worshipped by Christians around the world, and only by His Mercy are we made able to approach His Throne. And then there is the "other" jesus who Mormons believe in... a jesus that was sexually created (and not eternally existing) by one of the millions of gods out there, through some female who also gave birth to Satan, putting Jesus and Satan on equal footing because they are brothers. this jesus is unable to save anyone because he has no authority to do so. this jesus is "improving," and getting more perfect, as he once was on the same path we are as an imperfect and sinful man. So, no. The jesus of Mormonism is a demon, and trust me dude, that demon believes in and has seen the real Jesus when he was cast out of heaven before the creation of the world with all the other demons, and he hates God so much that he delights in deceiving Mormons, acting like an angel of light. Read up on your religion and my prayer is you discover the real Jesus, my man.

The Internet is infrastructure, like roads, like power grid, but now algos and politics can be used to cut a person or a company off from the public square.

Donner un poisson, c'est empêcher d'apprendre à pêcher. Le wokisme ne détruit pas l'humanité dans le sens dramatique. Il fait pire : il dessert systématiquement ceux qu'il prétend protéger, et il génère du ressentiment des deux côtés — ceux qu'on infantilise et ceux qu'on culpabilise. La fraternité républicaine dit : tu es mon égal, donc je te traite en adulte capable. Le wokisme dit : tu es ma victime, donc je dois te protéger de toi-même. L'un élève. L'autre infantilise. Ce n'est pas la même chose, et confondre les deux est exactement le tour de passe-passe qu'on dénonce.
