How beautiful and humble of a leader was the Messenger of Allah ﷺ! He was the head of the state of Madinah. He was the leader of the military. He was in charge of the judiciary. He was the imam of his blessed mosque. There was no one more busier. He was the leader of his community, and thousands were underneath him and willing to do anything to serve him yet, His grandchildren would be seen riding his back. He would help in the chores at home. He would walk behind his companions. He would serve guests food and drink himself. He would visit the ill and the disabled of his community. He would walk in the streets at night to find out about the welfare of others. He would ask about those who were not present. He would go hungry at night so others could sleep comfortably. He would teach with mercy and wisdom. He would play with baby children, quicken his prayer when they cried, assist the needs of female Companions, and answer their questions. Little girls would take hold of his hand and walk with him wherever they wanted for as long they wanted. He wept when he saw people in discomfort, got angry when animals were mistreated, and gave up his wealth just so others could live easier even though he had stones attached to his stomach. What excuse do we have? How do we claim we don't have time?
