hm trying @claudeai for the first time in ~6 months 5h limits --> Codex > Claude Weekly limits --> Claude > Codex I’m working on a relatively small side project using Claude. Overall, I like the way it works, and I’m curious to see how it will handle a larger project. It really frustrates me that it doesn’t finish tasks to their logical end like codex does when the limit runs out. It also doesn’t display usage properly, so you constantly have to guess.
Which is better right now: a $20–$25 Claude subscription or a $20–$25 Codex subscription? Which is better, Codex $100 or Claude 100$? Is there perhaps a third option?
I see tokens only as a way to attract some attention to the project at the beginning (or in another ecosystem. for example, I’m looking at solana, although 99 per cent of the time I’m building on base) Projects should be self-sufficient and generate profit and attention in the future on their own. Web2 startups and their builders are laughing at how we’re killing ourselves here for fees and fake attention.

**What I Built This Year** This year I became a Based Advocate (huge thanks to @svmvn for the trust). I collected a ton of feedback to improve @baseapp and onboarded around 300 people. I stepped into the moderator role for the @degentokenbase telegram chat - it’s a huge honor to work with @jacek0x, a unique builder. I absolutely love banning scammers, to protect users and keep the chat clean.🤩 Together with @lifeisatape we received a small grant from @buildonbase for our themed pinball project. I started working on @celebrationhb. It’s now one of the coolest social apps out there with massive room to scale both onchain and offchain.(+ some small side projects) I received 2 (or 4, depending on how you count them) base grants for my contributions to the @base ecosystem. Huge thanks to @berkay_secil, @cb03c66 & @CryptoStatuette. I was (and maybe still am) among the top builders on Base according to @TalentProtocol metrics. I took over the Devs: Mini Apps Farcaster chat from @lindaxie and I’m trying to help however I can. I’m also contributing to the Base Builder Circle Telegram chat together with @torok_tomi. Every builder can always get help from either place. My gift-sending and tipping agent won Farhack - massive thanks to @limone_eth, @builders_garden, and all the organizers. Later I even got to present the app on stage at FarCon-Rome in a language I’m barely familiar with (English lol)- what an incredible opportunity! I launched a small independent non-financial support program for builders, mainly on @farcaster_xyz, and helped attract around 2k users in total across various apps like @DotA_Agents (by @AzFlin), @CatTownBase (@itscrunklez & @purrfect_pixels and other kittens), @jessexbt_ai ( by @bvdani_el ), Among Traitors (by @saltorious1), and Petfolio by @UniqueBeing404. Once again I’m realizing that when you look at short timeframes it feels like nothing much is happening - but if you zoom out, it’s been an incredibly packed and eventful year! I like how we can succeed together.🦆

@alyonafuria @base I would say that Farcaster is overly focused on its own specific things, there was good synergy with base before. there are many vibes I miss here on X, whilst there are many vibes missing on Farcaster. A year or two ago, everything felt really good
