Earth is still bound to the Late Cenozoic Ice Age, and our planet's average global temperature still hovers around a very livable 15°C. This is far below the world's long-term planetary average of 18°C to 24°C - seen throughout most of Earth's biological history. It makes the idea of a global warming crisis seem out of sync with reality. Despite four decades of continuous climate alarmism, roughly 10% of the Earth's total land area remains permanently capped by glacial ice, which covers 15 million square kilometers (5.8 million square miles). That is nearly a third of its extent during the peak of the Last Glacial Maximum (26,000 to 19,000 years ago), when continental ice sheets reached their historical zenith. The Antarctic ice sheet remains the largest and thickest body of ice on the planet, extending up to 4.8 kilometers (about 3 miles) deep. It holds roughly 90% of global ice volume and accounts for 85% of total glacial land cover. Spanning 14 million square kilometers (5.4 million square miles), Antarctica alone makes up 8.3% of Earth's total land surface. A basic geographical reality is often forgotten: land comprises a mere 28% of the planet's surface. All human cities, towns, and infrastructure combined occupy just 1% to 3% of that land (while deserts take up 33% and forests 31%). We live on an ocean world, and waters cover 72% of the globe to an average depth of 2.3 miles. Crucially, the oceans hold 86% of the global carbon reservoir and absorb over 90% of retained thermal energy. By contrast, the atmosphere holds a fraction of a percent of each. The oceans—not human industrial activity—serve as the true long-term regulatory engine for atmospheric carbon dioxide and global climate stability. The current Quaternary Glaciation is part of an ice age cycle that began 34 million years ago with the thermal isolation and glaciation of Antarctica, later intensified by the closure of the Isthmus of Panama and orbital variations (Milankovitch cycles). Carbon dioxide was not the driver of these immense shifts. All of human civilisation, agriculture and technological progress has unfolded within a brief, warm respite: the Holocene interglacial period, which began just 11,700 years ago. Yet for 40 years, the narrative has been dominated by a campaign driven by an unaccountable bureaucratic authority—the United Nations—pushing an agenda of global control. The promised catastrophe of runaway, unprecedented warming never arrived.

❤️ BARNEY IS LOOKING FOR A FOSTER OR FOSTER WITH A VIEW TO ADOPT❤️ Sadly, his family recently had to make the incredibly difficult decision to find him a new home. This was not a choice they ever took lightly, they have always put Barney's welfare first and would never have considered rehoming him if circumstances had been different. As he's now an older gentleman, their only wish is for him to enjoy a calm, settled life where his needs can be fully met. Barney was then welcomed into a wonderful home with an older couple but unfortunately, due to an unexpected medical diagnosis for one of the adopters and a natural decline in their mobility and day-to-day abilities, they have had to make the heartbreaking decision that they can no longer provide Barney with the level of care he deserves. This decision was made with great sadness and love, and was in no way a reflection of Barney himself, they simply wanted to ensure that his later years are spent in the best possible environment, with the comfort, stability, and care he truly deserves. Barney was then adopted by another couple but unfortunately Barney struggled to settle fully and was ultimately returned to kennels after just two months. Full details provided to applicants. Barney's inability to settle in this home could well have been due to the recent upset and confusing changes he had experienced as well as a very painful ear infection that had gone undiagnosed until he arrived at kennels. He has now seen the vet, had a course of antibiotics and is back to full health. Barney would thrive in a calm home with a consistent routine. He enjoys having his own space, but when invited, he wholeheartedly believes he's a lap dog and will happily soak up affection with quiet joy. At home, Barney is generally wonderfully settled and easy to live with, he is comfortable with many aspects of day to day life in a family and a home environment. He loves the quiet life and is content to snooze for much of the day, balanced with his daily walks and gentle adventures. He is fully house trained, very polite indoors, does not jump up, does not attempt to go upstairs or get on furniture, and is generally very quiet, rarely barking at all. Out on walks, Barney often surprises people with his puppy-like enthusiasm. He enjoys meeting other animals and greets them with curiosity and excitement. Despite being nearly 10 years old, nobody ever believes his age, he still has plenty of energy on walks and many good years ahead of him. Barney does not cope well in busy or overstimulating environments such as pubs or crowded areas, but he is calm, relaxed, and content in a peaceful home setting where life is predictable and unhurried. He can show some degree of resource guarding around food, toys and spaces, however this is generally well managed and has only ever been evident around humans and not other animals. He currently lives happily with cats and has always been respectful and calm around them. Barney is absolutely fine being left for a few hours during the day. He settles well, shows no signs of separation anxiety, and does not chew or destroy furniture, making him very relaxed and reliable in the home. Barney has no known health issues. His vaccinations were last done in May 2026. Barney is a loving, gentle boy with so much to give. Like many dogs, he has his challenges, but with understanding, patience, and the right environment, he will truly shine. We believe that Barney would be happiest in a quieter home, where he can enjoy lots of dog focused one-to-one time, stability, and all the love he deserves for the rest of his years. If you are looking for a calm, affectionate companion who will fit beautifully into a peaceful home, Barney could be the perfect match.
