@scott_mesi @nntaleb @IndianLatino What you're referring to is a scalable job which, according to Taleb is good only if you succeed. This is in contrast to non-scalable jobs like Taxi drivers and dentists which are more robust. Read his chapters "Beware the scalable" and "Living in the antechamber of hope".

@nntaleb Have you heard about the Bogdanov affair? Surprised it's not in the Incerto. It's a perfect example of scientific #IntellectualFraud. Two twins spoofed their way to PhDs with gibberish physics and academia applauded it in peer-reviewed journals.
