UHH so i did a thing… i managed to get an M5 MacBook Pro- PRE PRICE INCREASE! i was originally gonna wait for the M6 but there’s just NO WAY im paying $4000+ for a touchscreen i wasn’t gonna use in the first place lol it delivers in a week, im so excited!!!

my battery life has been all over the place on iOS 27 Beta 2 lol it’s really good for a few hours and then really bad for the next few hours- i’m not too worried though, because this is just normal beta weirdness tbh beta 2 IS way smoother than both iOS 26 and iOS 27 beta 1 though, so its not ENTIRELY bad lol this screenshot is from a day with 7 hours on 5G and 7 hours on wifi (2 hours of use on 5G and 3 hours of use on wifi)- iPhone 17 Pro with 96% battery health btw

i’m not sure how i feel about the new Compass icon on iOS 27 beta 2 yet- on one hand it has Liquid Glass, but on the other hand the only sign that it IS Liquid Glass are those four squished up letters lol

iOS 27 beta 2 - what i’ve noticed so far - the entire OS feels even smoother than it did on beta 1 - the screenshot edit bug has been fixed!! - there’s now a permanent Siri button on the keyboard. it says “Write with Siri” before you start typing and changes to just the Siri logo while you’re typing. - tapping this button brings up Siri at the top of the screen- you can ask it questions or ask it to type for you - Siri is quite a bit faster, and its responses seem to have gotten more concise - the Siri page in Settings has been updated: you can now set whether opening the Siri app shows a list of your conversations or if it starts a new Conversation, and also how long the app stores your conversations (30 days, 1 year, or Forever) - the Macro mode icon in the camera app has been updated - dismissing the media player live activity no longer removes it for an unspecified amount of time, you can just pause and start playing again to bring it back

@pururajdutta just change your Siri language to something else, wait for it to download that language, then switch it back i doubt this is the solution for Siri not working sometimes tho

just updated to iOS 27 beta 2 and had to re-download Apple Intelligence because my language settings were messed up and in the mean time i somehow have both the iOS 17 siri and iOS 27 Siri running at the same time..? 😭
