Hmmm, can’t check right now. You can select dual-stack for egress, but maybe I misread the docs and this is only available with VPC mode. You’d not pay for IPv4, as non-VPC egress would use a (presumably shared) AWS IP, like Lambda Functions, and in VPC mode, public IPv4 isn’t supported for MicroVMs, if I remember correctly.

@myonlinetrust @__steele What do you mean? It has IPv6 on ingress (dual-stack, and it can’t be turned off 😁), and for egress, it supports dual-stack, for both VPC mode and AWS-provided egress. If I skimmed the docs correctly, didn’t test egress yet.
@astuyve @kkamranxyz With EC2, you pay for headroom (waste). A long time ago, I saw an interesting comparison that concluded you'd need something like >80% utilization across your EC2 fleet to beat Fargate pricing, which you rarely have with redundancy requirements.

A fast-follow from my previous tweet: turns out that AWS Lambda MicroVMs are quite flexible. You can run a Kubernetes cluster across them. With multiple pods per MicroVM. So I built a sample project showing how to do just that. github.com/aidansteele/mi…

Ah, this special feeling when trying to figure out a newly-released service, kinda like new-car-smell. Finally got it working and it *does* support IPv6 both for ingress (public endpoint) and egress. 😊
