@JimGR Creator, since it really only works because of the insane visuals. It requires being seen on as big a screen as possible. That way those small annoying things seem smaller.

@Apple Family Sharing really not taking divorce into account yet? It's been 6 years or so that we've been complaining about it. Poor kid has to decide which parent to be connected to, and I can't compete with free Apple TV+. (Only 'family' members can be AU on Apple card.)

@pattonoswalt True story: As a kid, I got stuck in a theater waiting for my mom and sat through MegaForce THREE TIMES in a row. That lack of movie-related parental oversight also led to me seeing Blazing Saddles at 7 years old and Harold and Maude at 6, so… not all bad?

6 seasons into our X-Files rewatch, we’ve noted the following: 1. The deliberately funny episodes are the most enjoyable; 2. The serious episodes are the funniest. These were truly the worst-trained FBI agents in entertainment history. 3. Fox Mulder sure liked to touch women.

@sharkchompchomp I just read Michael Mann’s Heat 2 novel, and somehow he wrote Vincent Hanna using Pacino’s inflections. It’s pretty rough hearing that delivery in your head. I kept telling the book to stop overacting.

In my late teens, I visited a friend’s family and managed to convince his little cousin that books were awesome. His mom later said it changed his life. Which just goes to show that, to little kids, any older person is automatically cool. Good thing I wasn’t pushing meth.

Dammit; forgot to mention that the above quote is from Kevin Wilson’s latest: Now Is Not the Time to Panic. As an artist, I LOVE how art fits into most of his stories. The Family Fang, for example, worked on many levels, but the way he talked about art led me back to creating.
