@caseorganic any experience with these or other contemporaries? Has me thinking about the myvu glasses I was hacking around with years back.

What really bothers me about all this hbo/netflix treatment of animation is the narrative that these shows weren't profitable and thus, cutting them makes sense. (small thread)

@Foone I kinda assume they’re more like macro boards. …but also the bottom left key and the third key from the bottom left are mechanically linked‽

@argyleink This is fantastic. (Admittedly, I’m an hcl fan, and this does nothing to dissuade me.)

@Linda_Keating @macbruker @brad_frost Strong rational, but I would expect the eyebrow to be read first, as a parent category, rather than a subtitle.

@uxmatters @vcastillo630 …if this reply isn’t ample evidence of the need for all of those talks in the first tweet, I don’t know what to tell you. #wtf

@chrisnoessel For an adjective describing “enabling someone to discover or learn something for themselves” the heuristics of “heuristics” is pretty poor….

@chrisnoessel I don’t agree with characterizing the alternatives as “least common denominator,” and while I agree in principle with the value of precision I’m not sure it applies here either… Maybe there is some neuance to “heuristics” that I’ve missed, but it seems like a ten-dollar word.

@chrisnoessel Which is why I prefer terms like “discoverability” and “conveyance.”

@chrisnoessel My main qualm with “heuristics” is the most opaque term for it. The only other word I’m familiar with with the same origin isn’t obviously related (that word being “Eureka”) Using terms more rooted in common terms seems more appropriate.

Everyone has an opinion on design. There's always an immediate gut reaction: "Ooh, I love this!" or "Meh." But how do you go beyond that to honing your skills of giving helpful, actionable feedback? Here are the 7 questions I run through when critiquing a product's design 👇
