@alteredoxide potentially. but the z.ai plans are only moderately cheaper than claude’s in general, so yeah in effect i hit the limits very quickly and thought i’d be better off with claude by the end of it
I asked Claude to help me build a humorous game called Luddite where your job is to destroy AI and stop it from spreading (similar to Plague Inc). Claude hit me with an "Acceptable Use" violation and threatened to restrict my account. So I had to build the game with GLM 5.2.
i now create more unfinished projects in a month than in my entire cumulative career. i can't tell if it's a good thing that i'm able to quickly see my ideas are trash, or if the process itself makes every idea feel like trash.

@GoodmanAric yeah but it kills slow-baked iteration. projects just die for me all at once after the first prompt delivers the poc. i don’t get a chance to fall in love :/

@edzitron i’m channeling/approximating the zeitgeist here but you may be right that i’m basically approximating my own self-inflicted X feed.
there has been a gradual vibe shift: - less talk of AI hallucinations and psychosis (psychosis was a gpt-4 era problem) - less talk of whether AI will replace or augment humans (augment won) - less talk of whether AI is intelligent (it is a class of intelligence) - less talk of AI consciousness (who tf knows/cares) discourse might just be dictated from the top, since most good content comes from reacting to whatever Anthropic is agitating us with. but in a sense AI feels less like an alien invader now and more of a mundane occurrence.
Noteworthy: nobody talks about AI hallucinating anymore.
