The school system teaches you to avoid mistakes; the wisdom systems of the past teach you to avoid sins. But it is precisely these "forbidden steps" that form the basis of true growth.

You can even become a villain (idk for what?), like in Crime and Punishment, but be able to bear this burden. If you follow the water park strategy: first slide down the smallest slide, then the taller one, and so on, then you can gradually train yourself to take on more sins.

But it's important to note: the key is not too many sins and not too big. It's not correct to say here: the more the better, because not everyone can bear this burden. See Dostoevsky's "Crime and Punishment". But the logic of the book is flawed, and it could have been different.

Isn't it amazing how simply following the obvious (the Earth can't be round because we see with our own eyes that it's different) was an obstacle to unifying the globe through trade, information exchange, and life hacks?

They told us that people would simply fall off the other side of the Earth if it were round... this idea has kept people's minds sleeping for millennia...

But weak person has reasons to become smarter in order to adapt to the society of ordinary people. But being too weak is also bad, because there is a limit to weakness that leads to an overly unstable state. Therefore, the optimal state is neither too strong nor too weak.

A person who is too physically strong has no reason to become smarter. (let's say that for the sake of flexibility)

However, the optimal mind must choose the golden mean, because only a paradoxical combination of opposites, an unbalanced balance, a disharmonious harmony, is the place where optimal goodness, optimal life, and optimal reason reside.

Perhaps his students misrepresented Aristotle? Or perhaps it's much more complex, and just as the universe contains heat and cold, light and darkness, so too, in every person, there is room for both extremes and a middle ground.

Aristotle said: "The optimal is the mean between excess and deficiency. The mean is that which is equally distant from both extremes." True, he also said that "there is no third option" and created a logic that asserts that "there is either yes or no"...
