There was no depth or empathy to her answers almost as though she herself was in empowered, gagged and didn’t really know

@jamieleefinch @ADivorcing Plus “comparison is the thief of joy”. Every time you look over at him, look back at you. Focus on you and your life, invest in yourself. Don’t waste your energy on him - he can suck you dry from a distance then, so what was the point in leaving of you let that happen? Chin up x

@jamieleefinch @ADivorcing 🙋‍♀️ Yep. You look and compare and it sickens you with injustice, grief and rage. I once went to a 2 day yoga retreat to try and “let it go”. (It didn’t work). But then I realised: I was only seeing what he wanted me to see. And if you really look it’s just smoke & mirrors.

@AbuseNarcissist I’ve re-done my whole childhood with the kids in my life. Baking, sand castles, sticker books, mud pies, making potions, story books, dens. It’s so healing. I’m nearly 40 with a professional career in the corporate world. But I’m parenting myself at the level of a 9 yr old. 😊

@AbuseNarcissist You have many talents. But your background means you are hyper-vigilant to danger and other ppls moods. This survival instinct kept you safe but there was no luxurious safe time and space to play and explore. It’s never too late to create your own safe place and explore...❤️

@NPDsurvivors It’s hard to live on in the same world and see how easily these demonic people are forgiven and accepted, given power, liked. It looks so easy and carefree. How can that same world hold space and empathy for us at the same time? It doesn’t seem possible.

@NPDsurvivors I share this fantasy. And I think it’s allowed to think like that. I had a friend who’d suffered similar abuse to me, and one day she rang me to tell me he had died. I felt the most intense jealousy I’ve ever felt in my life: she was free.

Lots of men out there saying they are victims of DV, and hating all women as a result. Have I missed something? I hold one individual man accountable for the suffering he caused. Hating 50% of the population because of one of them is a bit of a wanky move.
