@ThisisKaia @StephenKing I failed a book report on Jane Eyre in 4th grade; the teacher called home to explain to my parents that it was an inappropriate book and to focus on more age appropriate content. My parents laughed and had me change a schools instead. Reading is a joy. Censorship is relative. ❤️

@iconawrites Recently took our kids to Bali; in a very normal restaurant, staff encouraged them to do unscheduled karaoke. They sang their heats out and had a ball. some of the other patrons tipped them for the entertainment. Encourage kids to take up space and have big dreams and hearts. ❤️

@V8Sheppard When I moved here in 2004 (Aussie Mum, American dad, grew up outside of Australia), the word arvo triggered absolute *rage* in me 😂 all the other slang was fine but arvo drove me nuts! The English major in me couldn’t handle the v for f swap. I’ve chilled out a lot since then 😂

Tonight I’m (repeat) introducing beef stroganoff to my kids. It will get rejected; one of them will eat a banana/peanut butter sandwich instead. The other one will either say ‘it’s the best ever’ or poke at it and then have fruit instead. Parenting hey?

@AutisticCallum_ @SlaveQofHearts Size and type of metal matter. I’ll actually refuse to eat something if it’s served with the wrong spoon (in my house). I cop it on the chin outside of home.
