You can do your homework. The bar is set embarrassingly low. You are not dealing with regional famine or plague. You do not have to save your family from marauders or go into battle to destroy your enemies. You just have to sit down and learn from someone who cares about you in a safe air-conditioned room. South Carolina Law Enforcement (SLED) released dashcam footage of a shooting that happened in April on I-85 in Anderson County. Austin Robertson (32) fought the officers then reached into his vehicle and pulled out an AR15 pistol (no brace of course...) and shot Deputy Alex Albrech with it. Both deputies then performed a mag dump (technical term...) on Mr. Robertson's torso, killing him and saving taxpayers millions of dollars. The deputy that was shot has now recovered. School suspends a 5-year-old for fighting. Dad gets called in. Expecting him to apologize, punish his son, and play the good little parent. Instead the dad listens to his son: “This kid was picking on me at recess. I asked him to stop. He didn’t.” Then the dad turns to the principal and says what every father in America has been thinking: “So you don’t even know what the bully was doing to my kid… but you’re suspending MY son for ending it?” He looks at the bully kid and says: “You gonna think twice before you bully my son again.” Then he turns to his boy, gives him knuckles right there in the office in front of the principal, assistant principal, counselor, and nurse: “Son, I’m proud of you. You ain’t suspended. You got a three-day vacation. It’s hunting season. Let’s go.” Zero tolerance policies are a joke. They only tolerate one thing: kids who won’t defend themselves. This dad just reminded every weak administrator in America what real parenting looks like. Raise men. Not victims.

It’s amazing how quickly the gatekeepers of culture decide what’s acceptable. In June, every logo becomes a rainbow. Every stadium, every jersey, every broadcast gets a political message. But put a Bible verse on your cap? Suddenly that’s “controversial.” Put an American slogan front and center? Suddenly that’s “divisive.” The NFL had no problem painting political movements in the end zone. Major League Baseball has no problem turning every June into a month-long corporate activism campaign. Yet the moment someone wants to celebrate faith, patriotism, or traditional values, we’re told those things don’t belong in sports. Funny how the people preaching inclusion always seem to have a very specific list of viewpoints they’re willing to include. If rainbow logos belong in sports, then so do Bible verses. If political messages belong in sports, then so do messages celebrating faith, family, and country. The double standard isn’t subtle anymore. EVERYONE sees it.
