What you’re claiming genuinely sounds great in theory, but it has never worked long term in history, and most people are still too susceptible to raw instinct for it to work for the good of all people at this point in our evolution.

This is Travis Hunter. On December 20th, 2025 just 5 days before Christmas Travis returned home from walking the new puppy he had just gotten his daughter, who was in his home in her bed asleep, when he seen three men exiting his apartment holding items which belonged to him. Unbeknownst to him at the time, a woman he met online that he was casually dating had shared the location of his apartment and allowed them to enter his apartment while giggling. Enraged, Travis drew his firearm and quickly advanced up the stairs towards an individual holding his belongings. Travis did not shoot him, he merely demanded he drop his belongings and leave. The man fought back, a scuffle ensued on the stairwell and during the confrontation Travis was nearly dragged down the stairs. Had he fallen down the stairs I have no doubt in my mind that Travis would not be alive today, and I shudder to think of what would happen to his daughter in this scenario. After barely catching himself from falling down the stairs Travis made a decision that it seems will cost him his life. In order to prevent being pulled down the stairs again and more than likely killed, Travis shot the man killing him. Today Travis sits in the Virginia Beach jail with no bond awaiting trial for second degree homicide because a woman he trusted allowed three men to rob him blind five days before Christmas with his daughter asleep in the house. Three men that were willing to throw him down a flight of stairs for his possessions. I pray for this man. I pray that he is found innocent, I pray that if convicted he is swiftly pardoned, I pray that his daughter doesn't lose a father that loved her and was willing to die for her, and I pray that people will stop focusing on stories that will further their own personal goals and focus on stories of actual injustice and fight for those that truly deserve it.
