🇮🇷 Iran's Revolutionary Guard is warning that any ship crossing the Strait of Hormuz without its permission "will be dealt with." The IRGC says the only authorized route is the one Iran announced, calling any other crossing "unacceptable and extremely dangerous." It also dismissed a newly announced lane from "certain authorities," a shot at Oman, which a day earlier set up temporary shipping lanes through the strait with the UN's maritime body. Brent slipped below its late-February level from the day before the U.S. and Israel started bombing Iran, as a backlog of Gulf oil finally got moving and traders decided the crisis is over. The war premium is melting away too, with insurance for ships crossing the Strait of Hormuz more than halved in just 6 days. Analysts say the relief might not last, since a lot of this is just trapped oil getting flushed out, reserves are still low, and the real balancing act isn't expected until around October. For now, the market is betting the war is well and truly over.

Her calf had already reached the age where it could survive without milk, so researchers believed the timing was safe. But what they didn’t account for was the part of motherhood that doesn’t show up on a chart. Staff said she spent her first days in the holding tank oddly calm, circling the same wall over and over, almost like she was memorizing the way out. Then, before sunrise, cameras caught her launching herself out of the research basin and into the bay. Because she had been tagged for tracking, crews followed her signal as she pushed through open water, traveling hundreds of miles back toward Cook Inlet. Days later, she was spotted near the same stretch of water where her calf had last been seen, swimming beside the young beluga like she had never planned to leave at all. Scientists hoped to learn what a mother’s body goes through after birth, but what they learned instead was much harder to measure: a mother’s love does not end just because the milk does.

🇮🇷 Iran to NATO: admitting you sent 500 planes is a confession of guilt. Mark Rutte said 500 U.S. planes flew out of Italian bases for the war, and Tehran calls it proof NATO was in on it. Its foreign ministry said the remark was "a clear and damning admission of NATO's active complicity in an unlawful war of aggression against a sovereign UN Member State."
