Presenters often use RED for emphasis. But on the wrong background it makes text HARDER to read. Use it on black or white for the most pop.

Think about drama in ur presentation. Good drama has a climax. As u near the climax, use a series of short, quick slides to set the stage.

Be wary of moving your hand toward your laptop without advancing the slide; you make the audience think (hope!) you are moving forward.

Slides often need help from Photoshop. Logos, for example, look awful if they have a box around them; crop & make background transparent.
