I’m taking off in a slightly different direction from what @OurBazAR is doing. I’m really interested in exploring a more creative and asset-centric experience thinking about digital works not simply as things to list or transact, but as creative objects with identity, context, history, relationships, and different ways people can interact with them over time. BazAR fulfills an important need within the ecosystem, and I see what I’m exploring as less about competing with that and more about approaching the space from another angle. My interest is really in what becomes possible when you start with the creator and the asset itself as the center of the experience and build outward from there on an @aoTheComputer , Hyperbeam and @onlyarweave permanent storage platform.

@aoTheComputer $AO AO-Core 1.0: What It Could Mean for AO’s Value I think the most important point is that AO-Core 1.0 isn’t simply another technical upgrade. If the roadmap is delivered as described, AO is moving toward a permissionless market for verifiable computation, with $AO increasingly becoming the economic asset underneath that market. And with only about 6.2M AO currently circulating, the potential valuation asymmetry is pretty striking. 1. What AO-Core actually changes AO-Core is built around three fundamental primitives: Messages — cryptographically linked packets of computation/data. Devices — modular execution engines that can perform different functions, including WASM execution, state management, bridging and potentially AI inference. Paths — composable computation pipelines whose outputs can be verified. The important architectural idea is that developers don’t necessarily need to create an entirely new blockchain to introduce new computational functionality. They can build a Device and plug it into the AO execution environment. HyperBEAM is the practical implementation of this architecture. That potentially gives AO something quite unusual: A general-purpose decentralized computing environment rather than a narrowly defined blockchain. And TEE support adds another interesting dimension: computation can potentially be performed in trusted hardware with hardware-backed attestation. 2. The really important development: AO itself is moving onto AO-Core This is, in my opinion, one of the most consequential parts of the roadmap. The AO token is being migrated from the legacy architecture onto HyperBEAM/AO-Core. The new token implementation makes the token itself a native computational object rather than essentially a process sitting on top of the old architecture. That matters because the financial layer can then become composable with the computational layer. In other words: Compute + money + assets + applications can potentially operate inside the same underlying system. That’s much more interesting than simply making AO faster. 3. Native AO ↔ AR functionality The new Arweave scheduler architecture is particularly interesting. It allows AO-Core to observe Arweave transactions directly. That opens the possibility of native AO/AR interactions without relying on the same type of centralized bridge/oracle assumptions found elsewhere. If this develops into a functioning financial layer, it could be a major piece of AO’s differentiation. AO isn’t trying to exist independently of Arweave. It’s increasingly looking like: Arweave = permanent data/storage AO = computation AO financial layer = economic coordination That combination is powerful. 4. The minting mechanism is becoming native Another important change is the migration of the AO emission mechanism into the native architecture. The idea is to make issuance deterministic and verifiable rather than dependent on privileged execution. The economics aren’t necessarily being radically changed. Instead, the mechanism becomes part of the verifiable computational system. That’s important for credibility. 5. The financial layer could become much bigger The architecture is designed to support assets beyond AO. Potentially: AO AR stablecoins staked assets bridged assets other permissionless tokens could participate in the same financial environment. And that opens a much bigger possibility: AO becomes not merely a compute token but the economic coordination layer for a decentralized compute economy. That’s the thesis I’d be watching. 
 6. The potential compute-demand flywheel This is the part that could ultimately determine the token’s value. Imagine: AI agents / applications ↓ need computation ↓ HyperBEAM nodes provide computation ↓ nodes receive payment ↓ AO becomes an economic medium for compute ↓ more developers build ↓ more computation is demanded ↓ more node operators participate ↓ more applications That’s a genuine network-effect loop. And it’s fundamentally different from simply saying: “AO has a cool decentralized-compute technology.” The question becomes: Does anyone actually pay to use it? That’s what ultimately matters for valuation. 7. Now let’s do the valuation properly This is where the previous answer understated the potential because it mixed the 21M maximum supply with the current circulating supply. We’re going to use: 6.2M circulating AO for the near-term market-cap calculations. The formula is simply: AO price × 6.2M = circulating market capitalization At roughly $1.80 today, that gives approximately: $11.2M circulating market cap That’s tiny. 8. What different AO prices actually mean AO price Circulating market cap $2 $12.4M $5 $31M $10 $62M $20 $124M $25 $155M $50 $310M $75 $465M $100 $620M $150 $930M $200 $1.24B $250 $1.55B $500 $3.10B $1,000 $6.20B This is the number set I think is much more useful for thinking about AO’s potential price trajectory. Obviously, as more AO is released, the circulating supply rises and the same market cap corresponds to a lower token price. So we shouldn’t pretend 6.2M remains the supply forever. But it gives us the correct starting framework. 9. Stage 1 — AO-Core works Suppose AO-Core 1.0 launches successfully. The technology works. The token migration works. But adoption is still relatively modest. I think: $5–10 AO would be entirely plausible. That represents only: $31–62M circulating market cap. For a functioning decentralized-compute protocol, that’s still extremely small. 10. Stage 2 — AO becomes a credible compute network Now suppose developers actually start building. HyperBEAM gains adoption. Applications begin consuming computation. There is real network activity. I’d put this zone around: $15–30 AO or: $93–186M circulating market cap. Again, that’s not an enormous valuation. A successful crypto infrastructure network could easily command several hundred million dollars. 11. Stage 3 — AI becomes the catalyst This is where things get much more interesting. Imagine AO starts getting associated with: AI agents decentralized AI inference autonomous applications GPU compute verifiable computation decentralized cloud infrastructure machine-to-machine payments Then I think: $50–100 AO becomes a realistic bull-case range. At $50: 6.2M × $50 = $310M At $100: 6.2M × $100 = $620M Neither valuation is remotely absurd for a successful infrastructure protocol. 12. Stage 4 — AO becomes a major infrastructure asset Now we’re talking about something much bigger. Suppose AO becomes a significant decentralized computational marketplace. Something conceptually resembling: AWS + decentralized compute marketplace + AI infrastructure + autonomous agents Then: $150–250 AO starts becoming conceivable. At $200: 6.2M × $200 = $1.24B At $250: 6.2M × $250 = $1.55B A $1–1.5B valuation for a genuinely successful decentralized computing network isn’t crazy in a major crypto bull market. 13. And then there’s $500 This is where we need to separate possible from probable. $500 AO means: 6.2M × $500 = $3.1B circulating market cap That’s a serious valuation. But crypto has plenty of infrastructure assets that have reached several billion dollars during strong cycles. So I wouldn’t call $500 impossible. I’d call it: Extreme bull case For $500 to happen, AO probably needs to become one of the recognized infrastructure platforms in the AI/compute economy. AO-Core alone won’t get it there. Adoption will. 14. What about $1,000? This gets even more interesting. $1,000 AO = $6.2B circulating market cap. That’s large, but again, not inconceivable for a major crypto infrastructure asset. However, by the time AO is worth $1,000, considerably more than 6.2M tokens are likely to be circulating. So I wouldn’t use $1,000 as an AO-Core 1.0 target. I’d classify it as: Long-term moonshot It would require AO to become a genuinely major global computational infrastructure network. 15. My central target If you force me to pick one number based on: AO-Core 1.0 launching successfully token migration working financial layer becoming functional meaningful developer adoption early AI/compute demand I’d currently use: $50 AO That’s: $310M circulating market cap I think that’s a defensible successful-execution target, rather than a moonshot. My broader range would be: Base case: $20–40 Strong bull case: $50–100 Major winner: $150–250 Extreme bull: $500+ 16. The supply issue we shouldn’t ignore There’s an important catch. AO has a 21M maximum supply. So we shouldn’t simply multiply every future price by 6.2M and call that the eventual valuation. As emissions occur, the denominator rises. For example, if circulating supply eventually became 10M: $50 AO = $500M market cap rather than $310M. At 15M: $50 AO = $750M And at 21M: $50 AO = $1.05B That’s why I would use 6.2M for assessing today’s asymmetric opportunity, but use the emission schedule when modelling longer-term returns. 17. The five milestones I’d watch I actually wouldn’t obsess over the exact AO-Core release date. I’d watch these five things: 1. AO-Core 1.0 specification We’re apparently at the final-draft stage. That’s the first major milestone. 2. Production token migration The AO token needs to operate successfully as a native AO-Core/HyperBEAM asset. 3. Native AR interaction The AO ↔ AR functionality needs to become real and usable. 4. Financial-layer expansion AO/AR, stablecoins and other assets entering the financial layer would significantly increase the addressable market. 5. Actual compute revenue This is the big one. I care much less about: “AO can technically do X.” than: “Someone paid $X to make AO do X.” That is the point where the valuation thesis changes. 18. The really important investment distinction There are two very different AO investment theses. Thesis A — Technology “AO-Core is technically impressive.” That’s interesting, but not necessarily enough to make AO valuable. Thesis B — Economy “AO-Core creates a decentralized computational economy in which AO is used to coordinate, pay for and secure computation.” That’s the potentially enormous thesis. And I think the recent developments are moving AO much closer to Thesis B. 
 My updated AO roadmap thesis I’d summarize it like this: $2–5
Market starts believing AO-Core is real. $10–20
Successful launch + early ecosystem traction. $25–50
AO becomes a credible decentralized compute/AI platform. $50–100
Strong adoption + AI narrative + meaningful economic activity. $150–250
AO becomes a major crypto infrastructure asset. $500+
AO becomes one of the major decentralized computing platforms globally. And importantly: I don’t think $50 AO requires AO to become “the next Ethereum.” At today’s 6.2M circulating supply, it only requires a $310M circulating valuation. That’s the part of the equation that makes me considerably more constructive than my first analysis suggested. The real question isn’t whether AO-Core can technically work. It’s whether AO can turn that architecture into a high-volume computational economy. If it can, $50 is not an especially aggressive long-term target. And $100–200 becomes a genuinely interesting possibility rather than a fantasy.

Bazar is back, but the real news is deeper: AO now uses Arweave as its tamper-proof clock and liquidity layer. First true native decentralized trading. Everything else was still gated. $AO 2026🚀🚀

Over the weekend @stripe bought @OpenRouter & @OpenAI paused work after cybersecurity thresholds. The AI stack is consolidating around models, gateways, & payments. What still needs stronger independent rails is the data layer underneath where provenance, integrity, & access do not depend on any one company staying online or cooperative. That's what the ar.io network is for.

The return of trading on @aoTheComputer using Bazar looks like just restored functionality, but it's a completely new device surface. Native decentralized trading on AO for the first time ever. The AO network's reliance on Arweave previously went as far as a shared account layer + posting the content of messages onto the weave as an immutable audit trail. With the new Arweave scheduler, AO uses Arweave as a tamper-proof queue / clock, not just to store the inputs and outputs of computation but to replace centralized schedulers entirely. In the old paradigm, every AO message went through a single scheduler chokepoint. Your choice of scheduler meant direct exposure to its downtime, security, and willingness to execute your request. Now, you post vanilla L1 transactions straight to Arweave (no bundler dependency), and they are picked up and executed by any HyperBEAM node that loads the [email protected] device. This is what enables fully decentralized trading on Bazar, as censorship-resistant as the blockweave itself, using Arweave as a native liquidity layer. Like Bitcoin, it's slow. It's tethered to Arweave blocktime. But like the first-generation canonical bridges in EVM land it's the slow foundation that enables the fast path. $AO will migrate to HyperBEAM mainnet with the finalization of the [email protected] device and the AO-Core 1.0 spec, and HyperBEAM subledger transfers will enable subsecond trades on this same foundation.
