Cardiac deaths were already the biggest killer in our country, but we have a mysterious 10% increase. The Library briefing pack for this debate contains a startling statistic. Almost casually, it mentions that cardiovascular deaths per 100,000 population have risen by 10% since 2019, after falling steadily for decades. I wish I had more time to debate this important topic, which is why I have applied for a three hour debate on Trends in Excess Deaths. Thank you to @dean4watford for bringing this incredibly relevant debate to the chamber.
This is the future we need and it involves a power shift back to the people. Direct democracy required.
