@LanceZierlein @JeremyBranham 2/2 you improve the roster when you are in first place. You improve the roster in the offseason. You don’t add guys who have a crappy career and didn’t make it with other organizations. You sign proven major league players and draft and develop players.

@LanceZierlein @JeremyBranham I agree Lance. To many times you are given a chance to improve a roster not just at the trade deadline but in the offseason as well and he has failed there the last few offseasons. You don’t go into a season with bandaid players and just hope for the best.

@JeremyBranham I would trade for both McCarthy and moniak. Won’t cost a whole lot for either and you get left handed bats! Change the overall offense and the outfield gets a huge upgrade!
