@tqbf For the time being, that "ok" since NIMBY policies have always been a short-term mitigation. Like any other piece of industrial infrastructure, eventually there will be health & safety codes. They once had coke factories in downtown London surrounded by wooden buildings.

@JohnDCook Do it! That is a very cool thing to experience. At my college, Dr. Jazi ece.vt.edu/people/profile… taught a short after-hours 6 lecture series on "analog computing" with 3 "labs" that used those tools. It was awesome!

@dieworkwear @elirules You must not have many people living in your home and/or live where the HOA allows hang-drying outdoors. I "lived" with a combi Miele in Chicago for a bit. It was an horrid laundry experience despite the excellent engineering of the product.

@dieworkwear It's mostly due to cheap electricity + housing regulations often forbid hanging laundry. The full-sized vented dryer is just a better for the domacile.

@josephflaherty Meh, too much of a jump cut for me and I worry about the low cycle-time relative to an more coarse-grained initial approach with multiple steps in a press-jig. This "looks cool", but the throughput seems abismal.
