@mostlysports Tweeted this separately @BFW, but you’re going off of talent output and in that sense it’s hockey and it’s not even close. 41 NHLers from the 313, about 190ish from metro Detroit. 275+ players drafted that came through the Detroit AAA pipeline.

12 players born in metro Detroit have collected 21 Stanley cups. Also worth mentioning the players who are not from Michigan who moved to Michigan so they can play for the AAA teams like Caesars, Honeybaked, Compuware, and Victory Honda. Combined for 275+ draft picks.

@BFW Detroit proper has put out 41 NHL players all time (the most among major US cities), the state of Michigan has put out 205 NHL players all time and roughly 90% of those players come from southeast Michigan.

@OnTheBanksOTRC Michigan fans will root for MSU sometimes though because our best friends are cheering for them. You will never catch me doing anything other than praying on the downfall of the entire state of Ohio. That said the MSU rivalry absolutely could be top 10 as well.

@MySportsUpdate Clearly not a ball knower. Once that hand is in the dirt it’s has to be there till the ball is snapped. If you put both hands down you’re there till the snap. If either hand come out of the dirt it’s a false start. That’s the correct call you’re just salty.
