@NWSBlacksburg While neither the earliest sunrise nor the latest sunset happen on the solstice, the hours of daylight calculation appears to be an artifact of truncating sunrise and sunset to the minute. TLDR; I’m calling BS on your longest day statement.

@SCOTTHOGG If you boil it all down, this is key. It gets us out of the mindset of enumerating hosts and opens up many possibilities. IPv6 space is “practically” infinite.

@nwkautomaniac Still nothing so good. But I think completing a feedback loop like that is an important step for managing any large distributed system. Even if there is no human in the loop. In reality there is always a human in the loop.
