@CaltrainAlerts Why make us learn SCS for San Carlos when it can be confused for Santa Clara Station? Can you just type out the station name so we don't need a cheat sheet? 🙄 And can you make up for dropping the ball on electrification (2 yr delay! smh) by adding GPS tracking to all trains?
@AsiansNeverDie 🙄 at these replies. If someone thought fried Twinkies were gross, I can put aside my "pride" and appreciate that opinion as an American. My people's natto is gross, along with horse sashimi and dolphin meat. Calling a food gross doesn't automatically make them ethnocentric FFS.
@Caltrain How about diverting this position’s budget to a GPS tracking system on every train mapped to its train number? So many times this info would be useful.
@ozzy_train @Jpbx923@Caltrain I'd get one from a place where people take pride in their work. youtu.be/_rtxm30NULU?t=… I'd bet these guys don't blame their equipment. They'd take note of each train's quirks and get better at their craft instead of shifting blame to passengers.
.@Caltrain NB 375 Driver parks the train too far forward at Mountain View Stn and trips the ped gates. Refuses to do anything so 30 people couldn’t cross the tracks and missed their train. Fire him please. Or have conductors do something. Such incompetence. SMH.
@Jpbx923@Caltrain Except Galleries are Japanese trains built in the 80s. Why don't Caltrain & its defenders ever take responsibility? Are the gates supposed to go down in that situation? Nope. It does? "Customers should get there earlier." But I'm sure "modernization" will fix everything by 2040!
@Jpbx923@Caltrain 100% of Japanese drivers wouldn’t have missed the mark, & even if they did, conductors have procedures for safe passage. Were you there? The gates were down before the train stopped & until the train left. If it happens so often, find a solution instead of blaming customers.
@Caltrain@buucky_wuucky How about the driver not trigger the sensor, first of all, & if they do, have a conductor tell passengers it's OK to cross as they communicate with the driver. Pretty simple solution instead of a 'nope, can't' attitude. And in @buucky_wuucky's case, it was just inconsideration.
@Caltrain If the train is not displaying its number could you please announce the train number w/ a bullhorn please? I assume it was SB 268 that just left MV. The signs aren’t displaying the train info either. Worst info design ever. New trains can’t come soon enough.
@Caltrain Both conductors on SB380 are a*holes for seeing a passenger run to the door, closing it anyway while asking, “you got a ticket?” at Mtn View. You had no intention of reopening so why ask? Sad that that’s the only joy they get w/ their jobs.
.@pixelworkers 408 is San Jose! Silicon Valley is not a city and as a San Josean, I would never say I'm from Silicon Valley. Please fix your shirt design. Peeps in Mtn View, Palo Alto, Sunnyvale, Cupertino, etc. would appreciate the separation too!
