LSU has answered the call to serve for generations. We’re ready to answer it again. @DeptofWar announced @LSU will be designated a Distinguished Military College, placing our university among the nation’s elite military institutions. We are ALL LSU! 🇺🇸

@latechsportsctl @LAGovJeffLandry When has the Governor come after them? You guys are making up an imaginary battle because of the comments of one BoR member.

@SleeperG_TX @NavAg903 True! I don’t know much about that stuff, just pointing out because a lot of people overlook LSU’s military history — which I always found interesting and cool.

@NavAg903 Lmaooo this is great. Really didn’t mean it as a jab, lot of people just don’t know about LSU’s military history.

@ECUJungle @LouisianaScout Also, the member is not limited by his alum status in pointing out that the other schools have budget shortfalls, and that moving down is a solution to fixing. I don't think they should, but he's not wrong for even mentioning the possibility of a solution.

@ECUJungle @LouisianaScout Furthermore, again, LSU wasn't in the conversation being had. Sure the member is an LSU alum, but LSU isn't in the same position as these other schools and you know it. You can point to deficits but the reality is that they will be covered. These other schools do not have

@cajunhawk @gabe_wiseman2 @MagnumRaw @Tmon3y_72 @Kara_Richey @byronellis999 I like Nick Saban! I was young when he was at LSU, have no memory of it, but he did a lot of good for the school so he’s cool in my book. What comments from Chancellor Wharton are you referring to? Cannot find anything.

@TopTierG6 What would be the correlation? Those schools operate in a different system from LSU. LSU’s deficit (covered by alumni donors) has nothing to do with the shortfalls of the other schools.

@cajunhawk @gabe_wiseman2 @MagnumRaw @Tmon3y_72 @Kara_Richey @byronellis999 Ok cool, we’re getting somewhere. What is the “documented fact” here? I would like to see that.

@cajunhawk @gabe_wiseman2 @MagnumRaw @Tmon3y_72 @Kara_Richey @byronellis999 Is the argument that LSU has unfair publicity because of its flagship status? That’s kind of the nature of flagship institutions. LSU has decades of a head state and was founded as a state school rather than a regional one (LAT, ULL, ULM, etc). This isn’t some conspiracy

@cajunhawk @gabe_wiseman2 @MagnumRaw @Tmon3y_72 @Kara_Richey @byronellis999 What allows LSU to have a golden parachute is TAF, like a I said plenty of times. What allows LSU to have TAF is large # of alumni and the position as state flagship. Like seriously what am I missing? I’m trying to understand your point.

@cajunhawk @gabe_wiseman2 @MagnumRaw @Tmon3y_72 @Kara_Richey @byronellis999 You’re just not providing an argument. That regent pointed out that those 3 ADs have financial shortfalls that cannot be covered by private money the way LSU can. Full stop. He didn’t enact anything. He just made a recommendation. Now do you have any real arguments to offer?

@TheHerdsHeadset I’d argue the reverse on Tech and ULL.

@cajunhawk @gabe_wiseman2 @MagnumRaw @Tmon3y_72 @Kara_Richey @byronellis999 You’re arguing against a point I’m not making, like at all — not even close. LSU has the ability to have TAF, with its hundreds of millions of $, because LSU is the state’s flagship institution with a much larger alumni pool than the other schools. It’s just math
