When the BCNDP government passed bill 35, they were warned that this would have a devastating impact on businesses that were dependant on tourism. @lanapopham , said it would have no effect whatsoever, as did @Dave_Eby , @KahlonRav , now we seeing and reading of businesses closing down and struggling as business is drastically down. I have seen a lot of To lease signs in downtown Victoria. I regularly would go on whale watching tours. I spoke to the company that does these tours, and was horrified when he told me they now only doing 3 tours per day, as opposed to 7 they used to do in good times, because of the drop in demand.
