J’ai échangé avec la famille de Louis cet après-midi. Ce jeune homme a été tabassé et lynché à mort par cinq individus dans la nuit du 19 au 20 juin. Je vous raconte cette affaire à travers les témoignages des proches de Louis, ainsi que les premiers éléments connus sur ce qu’il s’est passé. Ce mercredi 24 juin, la famille de Louis a contacté notre rédaction car elle souhaite que cette affaire soit médiatisée. Elle refuse « que sa mémoire soit oubliée dans le silence ». Louis a 17 ans. Il est décrit comme une personnalité vulnérable, souffrant notamment d’un trouble de l’attention. Entre le 19 juin et le 20 juin, il va être victime d’un guet-apens d’une extrême violence qui conduira à sa mort. Aux alentours de 23 h 30, à Narbonne, sur un chantier, Louis va être lynché à coups de pied à la tête. C’est une avalanche de coups qui s’abat sur le jeune homme de 17 ans. Les violences infligées sont telles qu’elles vont le plonger dans le coma. Louis sera retrouvé dans un état critique par des ouvriers et transporté en urgence à l’hôpital. Il décédera de ses blessures ce mardi 23 juin après-midi. La scène, d’une extrême barbarie, a été filmée par les individus commettant l’agression. Ils se filment également sur une seconde vidéo en train de s’extasier devant le corps agonisant de Louis. Le soir même, ils vont partager cette vidéo avec certains de leurs amis. Cette même vidéo finira par remonter jusqu’aux parents du jeune Louis. Les jeunes qui lui ont infligé cela sont, selon la famille, « des jeunes qu’il fréquente depuis quelques mois et avec lesquels il rencontre des difficultés ». D’après les premiers éléments de l’enquête, cette agression pourrait être un guet-apens dans le cadre d’une vengeance. Cinq auteurs présumés ont été identifiés et placés en garde à vue. À l’issue de leurs auditions, ils ont été déférés ce mardi 23 juin devant un juge d’instruction. Ils ont été mis en examen pour assassinat, puis placés en détention provisoire. Sur les cinq mis en cause, trois sont mineurs. La famille que j’ai eu au téléphone est totalement dévastée, mais elle souhaite que le visage de Louis soit diffusé. Elle a également accepté la publication des images de cette terrible agression afin de contester la version relayée par une partie de la presse quotidienne régionale, selon laquelle leur fils aurait été victime d’une simple « rixe ». Malgré la douleur que cela représente pour ses proches, ils refusent que Louis tombe dans l’anonymat et souhaitent que la réalité des faits soit connue du public.
