You'd have to look far to find the harsher critic of Canada's tax regime than yours truly, well my gripes are formed around a few very specific contentions: 1) our government wastes money hand over fist and doesn't deploy capital productively 2) our top rates kick in at incredibly low thresholds 3) single-income families are taxed punitively compared to dual-income families cumulatively earning the same amount Interestingly, I do agree with some of Gad's ideas, but on balance I've always thought him to be an idiot. I'm not surprised to see him reaffirm that belief.

Can I just point out how funny this is, given the paper is owned by Canada’s wealthiest billionaire family, all of whom inherited their wealth. Should we hate them for that? Of course not, because that would be gross. But, it reflects our tall-poppy syndrome at its finest. Personally, I’m glad that the Ontario Teachers Pension Plan is getting a nice payout, as will many others who took a big risk investing in SpaceX. I wish we had more audacious entrepreneurs making big bets and generating great jobs and wealth here in Ontario. I want to create an environment that makes it even more likely. The world is not zero sum. The size of the pie is not fixed. If we make more, everyone can get a big piece.

Canada as energy superpower is great PR, and a nice change coming from the PM. 2. Govt-govt MOUs won’t create a pipeline without investors and builders at the table. 3.
