Does your Valentine deserve true chocolate covered strawberries and rich chocolate covered cheesecake pops or some fake chocolaty confection? We use only pure Milk Chocolate, White Chocolate and Semi-Sweet Chocolate.

Checking out competitors sites today, one obvious thing was the use of "chocolaty" on products that don't use what can legally be called chocolate. With "White" also being a color & "Dark" never having a legal definition, people expecting real chocolate are being scammed. Squeal

I've been sitting on this for a while, not sure how to really handle. This is big, the word "chocolate" now has its own Standard of Identity, (FDA CFR 163.111) which lists what is required for labeling to use the word legally. Cocoa butter is required (AKA:cocoa fat). Huge impact

@EHChocolatier @Lochina186 @TastingTable Saw this in AM, she gets a lot wrong "lacks the actual cocoa bean", where does she think cocoa butter comes from? It lacks the cocoa solids not the bean. The national bar makers are not marketing or using the word "chocolate" if it does not fit, they just call it "White".

@hrkbenowen All supplies, ingredients, & transportation costs have gone way up. While most merchants want to hold the line on prices, long term that leads to bankruptcy, they can't cover for the changes. Others have severally cut quality to maintain the illusion that things have not changed.

@theharphammer23 I've seen similar with other carriers, once cause is when there is a delay processing scans. Scans from the dat before get processed after local scans have already been processed. They get posted long after the event happens so it looks like the package is moving when it is not.

@dave_drm size, number of colors, indoor/outdoor, glass tube thickness, licensing costs, age (antique), amount of hand work that had to be done (lots of tubes close to each other..so more skill & time needed to be made), limited runs.. all that would figure into it.

@adambombshow Lye, Parents were putting in new Mexican tile at the Miami house, under old carpet was asphalt tile, tile guy was removing the old asphalt glue & didn't tell anyone. Walked through it barefoot, going strait to shower. All the calluses fell of in one sheet.
