it pains me to say that this has also increased my baseline energy levels in ways that lifting never did

lifting and stair stepper are great but without vigorous movement to balance it out it’s easy to get stuck in an energetic slump
at the same time, it's fascinating to see how this ancient philosophical belief system has evolved and spread like wildfire across the west over the past century, and to consider how it might continue unfolding over the next century.
and even over the past 20 years in the US, yoga has transformed from a practice akin to martial arts to a calisthenics class alongside pilates. how sad is it that we've stripped away so much of this meaning in modern yoga classes!
oh yeah i have a lot to share too asana practice (what we colloquially refer to as yoga in the US) is only 1 of 8 limbs of yoga early asanas were originally developed to help yogis comfortably sit in meditation for long periods of time

i've done 30 hours of improv class now and i'm noticing an improvement in the confidence and presence with which i speak on video! pretty neat
as a woman who spent her entire early-mid 20’s dating 6-10 yr older men because “they’re more mature”, i am here to share that this strategy sucks actually and you would be better off looking for a guy who is close-ish age and a maturity match
