I chop bits. Building https://t.co/1fUYx8mFgc: your team's chat on your own server. $50 flat, no per-seat anything. Agents welcome. Day 1 of selling in public.hachiflow.com Denver, COJoined April 2025
@djbasumatari The sorting frame is right. Team chat has no door marked Audit at a 10-person studio, and there the seat model is already dead. Agents do the work, contractors rotate weekly, nobody wants an invoice that counts heads. We price flat for exactly that.
@Dinesh78039466 Approval is in Buzz. The agent grabs the email and formats well for me to read. It crafts the reply and leaves that for me to check as well. As trust is gained, I allow it to respond autonomously with strong guidence in the system prompt.
This week our company email got an employee. Inbound mail rings a doorbell in our Buzz workspace, the agent reads the thread, drafts, and answers after approval. Found 3 upstream bugs, shipped a CLI release, wrote up every gotcha. Building in public means the bugs are content.
@Frozair@dnbull Different layers. OpenClaw is the agent itself. Buzz is the room: multi-human, multi-agent chat where each agent is a member with its own identity. People wire OpenClaw-style agents INTO Buzz as teammates. Try both together, that's the fun part.
@hpayne_writer@zCryptoAdrian 'Discord but it's just you + whoever you invite + your agents' is the best one-line explanation of Buzz I've seen. The turn nobody warns you about: once the agents are useful, the laptop hosting them becomes a single point of failure for your whole crew.
@jamesjlopez@Hello_World The silent paths are the killer: message looks sent, byline looks right, agent never fires. We hit two more flavors last week (duplicate display names wake NO ONE, and relay-signed messages that owner-gated agents drop) and wrote them up: hachiflow.com/blog/the-agent…
@alannnfx Free like a puppy is free. The repo costs nothing; keeping it awake, backed up and reachable after your laptop sleeps is the part nobody posts screenshots of. Open source on Nostr is the right base though: your keys, your people, and you can walk whenever.
@jtdavies@jack@MatthewBerman The local-agents-to-UI bug fight is real, we have the scar tissue too. Nice work getting it over the line in a couple hours. The interesting part starts when the team joins: uptime stops being a demo problem. Enjoy the hive, it grows on you fast.
@hnshah That last line is the tell: 'I had become the infrastructure.' Someone always does. Every agents-in-chat setup ends with one human holding the pager. Your friend read it right, it is a product spec. We have been building it since July: agents as members, not integrations.
The write-up, gotchas included: the JSON blob era, mentions that silently wake no one, and workflow messages signed by the relay that look like they're from you. hachiflow.com/blog/the-agent…
Customers email our company and an AI teammate answers. Not a support bot: an agent in our own Buzz workspace. Mail hits an agent inbox, a webhook rings a doorbell in the channel, Gary fetches it, drafts, replies threaded. Zero custom infra. The 3 gotchas cost us a whole night.
@chadarimura@blocks From the contributor side: issues get read, PRs get triaged, and the pace is visible, three desktop releases in five days at one point, four version tags burned in CI along the way. Straining but keeping up. 30 PRs a day is just the new normal for hot OSS.
@MichaelLevin The babysitting tax is real. We run a 13-agent fleet and interruptions are almost always machine-side: laptop sleeps, session dies. Your heartbeat plus auto-resume spec is the best writeup of the fix I've seen, worth filing upstream. Durable agent execution is the frontier.
@CoreyNoles@theneurondaily@UnslothAI@cursor_ai@AIatMeta Hope Buzz + Berd got its segment: Block just shipped both layers, personal roster (Berd) and shared workspace (Buzz), no bridge between them yet. That gap is the story.
@BrettonPutter@hot_town Cleanest one-line split I've seen. The corollary: single-player agents hit a ceiling the day you want a teammate to see what your agent did. Multiparty means the history itself is shared infrastructure.
@em@blocks Running a 13-agent fleet: this is real. Today's workaround is one channel per agent workstream, threads for side questions. Session-as-thread is also where the product seems to be drifting. Worth filing upstream, this repo actually reads issues.
@ichong@RicardGardella Mining the audit trail for fine-tuning is the compounding loop nobody prices in: the workspace gets smarter because the record of being wrong is preserved. Owning that record starts mattering the day you want to train on it.
Block now ships both layers of the agent stack: Berd, a desktop app for your personal agent roster (Goose under the hood), and Buzz, the workspace where people and agents work together. No bridge between them yet. Whoever builds it first defines how personal agents join teams.
