I think the next Batman movie should include an enemy called "The Wordler". He plays Wordle every day, usually gets it in 3 or 4 tries. He thinks he's an evil genius, but is actually of average intelligence.

@evanbirnholz I shared this story with my friends on the drive home from the tournament. I was sitting next to her at the tournament, including when this bewildering discussion took place. My favorite moment was when you pointed to the Post puzzle she had in her stack and said "that's me"

@evanbirnholz I did it Downs-only and could not come up with any idea for the theme. After looking at the theme, I now see in retrospect that maybe if I had stared long enough at 1A and 70A I could have come up with a theory.

@danfeyer I've been working on "The World's Largest Crossword Puzzle" (28,000 clues; 108 page clue book). Pictured is 1/4 of it, which I have almost half filled. Unfortunately it does not play by standard crossword rules, and the fill is... not good. Looking forward to trying Abecedaria!

@evanbirnholz Not to accuse Ivan of hyperbole, but he spent several hours and couldn't complete a single clue? Row 5 in puzzle 1 had two clues: "Commotions (4 letters)" and "Like a 20-20 score (4 letters)". He must have seen one of these clues in "doing crosswords daily for the last 65 years".
