Where’s 1600 to 1900? No Hume, Kant, Nietzsche, Darwin. The moderns you kept (Kafka, McCarthy, Solzhenitsyn) are witnesses to the disease, never analysts of it. Six Aristotle volumes, Kreeft’s Aquinas, Esolen’s Dante, Mansfield’s Machiavelli. That’s a Thomist formation, not education as such.
