my exact 4-hour validation framework before writing a single line of code for a founder: hour 1: who pays. the SPECIFIC person who Venmo-s you $100 tomorrow. hour 2: the pain. make them describe it in THEIR words. hour 3: the wedge. one painful thing you can fix this week. hour 4: the waitlist. 100 signups or don't build yet. saved 3 founders $3,999 this month by telling them the answer was "not yet." validation beats code. every time.
a non-technical founder DMed me in january. her fintech idea was stuck at "landing page + waitlist" for 6 months. 3 dev shops quoted 8-12 lakhs. 4 months timelines. I shipped it in 21 days for $3,999. today: her app has 800 paying users. she just closed her seed round. the gap between idea and shipped product is 21 days if you know how. most founders just haven't met the right builder yet.
