Lee-Smith's paintings place solitary figures in desolate urban and coastal landscapes, rendered in oil with a muted palette and strong geometric structure. Trained in Cleveland and Detroit, he drew on Social Realism and Surrealism to develop a visual language of isolation and ambiguity.

Germany has over 300 spa towns, many operating as rehabilitation centers for chronic conditions such as asthma and rheumatism alongside recreational wellness programs. Working across public and private spaces, Krack alternated between landscape views and close portraiture of temporary residents, producing photographs that capture an ambient surrealism throughout parklands and sterile clinical interiors.

Tachibana is a Brazilian photographer based in São Paulo whose work centers on candid street photography across various countries. His work centers around activities among citizens across the regions he travels to, with an emphasis on gesture and the geometry of available light. Rather than organizing his images around place or destination, Tachibana treats each photograph as documentation of a specific, unrepeatable encounter occurring between people and their surrounding environment.

Jorge is a 17 year old Vancouver-based photographer who began his practice after encountering street photography while visiting family in the Azores, Portugal. His photographs are less concerned with decisive-moment formalism than with the residual strangeness of the moments he finds himself in. His work showcases a broader interest in the idea that certain moments carry meaning that can be seen but not fully articulated.

He was named a Companion of the Order of Canada in 1982.

This is a series produced during a road trip through the southeastern United States, in which Cousineau turns his attention to the overlooked textures along the route.
