// INTERNAL MEMO | RE: BLACK LEDGER
Flag raised: operators reporting a dead end.
Reviewed, end to end. The mission is not corrupted. The container's still logged where it should be, the route holds, the contract reads clean.
Some of you are one move from closing it.

More on Torchbearer, the new rank introduced in 3.45.0.
Requirements:
– Complete the main storyline through Act 3
– Reach Renown level 15
– Earn 350,000 cumulative credits
Once you hit Torchbearer, you’ll have a better shot at priority access when early builds open.
If you meet the criteria, promotion is automatic.
Update 3.45.0 – Expeditions Advanced
Since 3.41 we've been reworking expeditions into a system you actually grow into, building out a major new Act 3 investigation, and adding a new rank for veteran operators.
Here's what's landing:
Black Ledger – a new Act 3 investigation. The largest storyline in the game so far.
Expeditions, reworked – reputation, mercenaries, and a new Engineer specialist who can rent you additional stash space.
Torchbearer – the rank has been added.
What else:
– Mercenary reputation: the more you work a market, the better your hires and access to elite operators.
– Rented stash space is temporary: there's a grace period, but miss the renewal and the extra room gets reclaimed.
– Rank requirements are now shown up front so you always know what's needed for the next promotion.
– Expedition, market, and desktop screens refresh more reliably, even after long sessions.

@GigaMonkeh Expedition outcomes are still being tuned, especially the link between risk, performance, and reward quality.
Decisions are expected to have a clearer impact in the nearest updates.
Mercenary expeditions are one of COR3’s progression systems.
Hire a mercenary for a single 20-minute operation, choose a location and follow the outcome through the Mission Channel.
Be careful: during the expedition, the Mission Channel may present decisions that let you influence how the operation unfolds.
After an expedition, the mercenary returns to the market pool after cooldown. You may see them again later with the same rank and trait, or you may not.
If they die, they are removed from the system permanently.
Choose wisely.
// UPDATE 3.39.0
STATUS: DEPLOYED
Since 3.33, our main focus has been the moment-to-moment feel of COR3: cleaner market jobs, smoother onboarding, faster matchmaking, and more reliable live systems.
Now, with 3.39.0, that work comes into sharper tools, smoother jobs, and a cleaner flow.
// FEATURE PREVIEW
Work has begun on the mechanics for assembling a custom drone.
The feature is not live yet, but the interface now includes an early placeholder preview. Once completed, Operators will be able to assemble their own drone and deploy it on missions.
// HIGHLIGHTS
Markets & Jobs
• Access lots show up front what kind of access they grant and how long it lasts.
• Generated jobs read each server's actual capabilities, so transit and log tasks only appear where they make sense.
• Transit jobs with adding or removing IPs are more reliable. They no longer break when servers refresh their background lists, and the IPs you add stay in place if a job times out.
• Some previous in-progress transit and decrypt contracts were rebuilt under the hood, so a few legacy jobs may behave differently than when you took them.
Mini-Games & Matchmaking
• Tower Defense matchmaking is faster now. Finding opponents no longer drags on before a match can start.
• Encrypted files run through the right decrypt mini-game automatically based on their format.
• Hack and decrypt completions are stricter about malformed or duplicated submissions. Old hung sessions get rejected more cleanly.
Quality of Life and Stability
• Onboarding now walks new players through their first market purchase and their first decrypt, instead of leaving them unguided.
• Background services for chat, scheduled events, and live updates run quieter and more reliably, so screens stay in sync.
• Dead mercenaries now sit in soft-delete for 30 days before cleanup, so old expedition rosters take a little longer to settle.
Update 3.33.0 improves Act 3 onboarding and stabilizes core systems.
// ACT 3 //

Server hacking is now more flexible, with support for different hack games across specific servers.
Malformed or duplicate hack completions are now rejected more cleanly.
// MINIGAMES //
Tower Defense added as a new minigame layer.
Simple Hack and new software options make decrypting, restoring, and breaching flows more consistent.
// EXPEDITIONS //
Expedition handling, reward collection, and state hydration have been cleaned up.
Market, SAI, and minigame interactions now refresh more reliably.
Act 3 is smoother.

COR3 Terminal: why it matters for Fragmentary Order?
Players are entering COR3's progression system where they solve quests, push through levels, and stack loot. Every checkpoint hit drops rewards tied straight to what is discovered in the story.
The more you gain on Core.gg, the stronger your loadout: Terminal remains an active part of the ecosystem, continuing through launch and beyond.
Fragmentary Order is still being tuned. Everything you do – how you play, what you choose, your tactics – gets logged and shapes the final build.
The fragmentary world knows no mercy. Early players step in prepared.
