Good news. 👉 Unlike 1920 that we don't know what to do with Turks so had to establish Turkish borders with Treaty of Lausanne 👉 Now there will be routes for them back to central asia. ⚠️ Not sure if there will be welcomed, as it was Turkics who kicked Turkish out of there.

Today, explaining the Mecca Defence Agreement, Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan said: “Are there other alliances in the region being formed against us? Yes, there are. Before we signed the Mecca Alliance, as you know, Israel, the Greek Cypriot administration, and Greece came together and established a security alliance in the Mediterranean. We all know what the objective of this alliance is. Türkiye lies to the north of the Mediterranean and Egypt to the south, and there is an alliance drawing a line right through the middle. The purpose of this alliance is clear, and it is also clear where it is headed. Our alliance, by contrast, is not directed against any country. It is about creating a framework for cooperation among ourselves and establishing deterrence.” The reality is just the opposite. 🔺Turkey’s “Mavi Vatan” doctrine systematically ignores UNCLOS, attempts to erase the exclusive economic zones of Cyprus and the Greek islands, and invents maritime borders through an illegal MoU with Libya (while pressing the same logic toward Egypt). The aim is clear: to seize energy resources that belong to Greece and Cyprus, isolate the Republic of Cyprus, and turn Israel into a geopolitical island forced to rely on Turkish goodwill for trade, energy routes and security. Turkey also is actively pushing Egypt toward an anti-Hellenic alignment to advance these plans. Until now Egypt has respected international law and its agreements with Greece and Cyprus. Cairo knows which countries helped build its strong relationship with the EU. Any alignment with Ankara’s designs would damage that relationship—and President El-Sisi has not forgotten Erdoğan’s open support for the Muslim Brotherhood in its effort to topple him. 🔺The “peace-loving” Turkey has occupied and colonised the northern part of Cyprus for 52 years. It maintains more than 35,000 troops in full offensive posture on a small island, daily threatening one million European citizens. The Republic of Cyprus takes only the minimum necessary measures to strengthen its defence. 🔺There is no established formal alliance between Israel, the Republic of Cyprus and Greece—yet. What exists is a wide framework of cooperation that includes security and defence. It is a defensive response to Turkey’s unilateral expansionism, illegal gunboat diplomacy and behaviour that increasingly resembles that of a modern pirate state 🏴‍☠️ . Turkey creates facts on the ground/sea by military force and then claims to be the victim! 🔹Common sense supports the formalisation of a serious trilateral Defence alliance between Greece, Israel and Cyprus to protect their sovereignty and security against the neo-Ottomanist regime. A trusted anchor of stability in the Eastern Mediterranean would naturally draw also other partners with shared interests. Fidan can continue the familiar propaganda of repeated falsehoods in the hope that they gradually harden into accepted fact.
