Classic #Bitcoin push on a Saturday. We'll most likely retrace that on the Monday open, but honestly, the volatility is so low on the markets, a big move is literally around the corner. I'm not surprised if that's going to be a strong move upwards, as I'm allocated entirely into #Altcoins right now.

A crypto subnet is about to start shipping physical computers to people's homes. Not a token. Not an app. A machine you plug into the wall, with a factory coming online next month. This is the most underrated story in the Bittensor ecosystem right now, and understanding it explains why decentralised compute exists at all. Start with the number that makes everything click. On the latest community call, Targon's founder ran the math on a B300, one of NVIDIA's top AI machines. Renting one costs about $48,000 a month. Generating that same month of tokens through the big AI labs' APIs would cost roughly $1.75 million. Same output. 36x price difference. That gap is the entire business case for owning compute instead of renting intelligence. The problem was always trust. If a stranger runs your AI workload on their machine, what stops them from reading your data? Targon's answer is confidential compute, and the founder's own analogy is the clearest explanation you will hear: Imagine renting an apartment where the landlord physically cannot enter, cannot photograph your things, and yet can still prove to you the apartment is exactly as promised. That is what modern chips make possible: encrypted memory that even the machine's owner cannot see into. Targon's engineers co-authored a paper with Intel on exactly this. Their new Targon OS pushes it further: the miner who owns the machine is locked out of the operating system while your workload runs. You get a private machine inside someone else's computer. Now the hardware. The Targon Tower Pro ships from their own factory starting mid August. A data center class machine for your house: run your own AI locally with full privacy, and when you are asleep, flip a switch, and it sells compute back to the network for TAO ecosystem rewards. Your idle hardware becomes an income producing node. Here is the part that made me trust this story more, not less. Asked directly if buyers will get rich, the founder said the opposite of what a token pitch sounds like: do not buy this to make money. Payback from mining alone runs about a year, and only if prices hold. Buy it because you want sovereign AI at home, and the mining pays it off as a side effect. He was equally honest about the subnet's own margins: some months 5% profit, some months breakeven, some months negative, with a plan to reach consistent margins by pricing different machine configurations properly. Compare that candor with what the growth numbers say. Over 16,000 confidential workloads deployed this year. Average revenue per user up from $83 to $5,000. A $10.5M raise with angels from DCG, a Google board member, and Shopify's Toby. All self reported on the call, but reported by a founder who volunteers his own breakeven months, which is exactly the kind of source that earns the benefit of the doubt. Zoom out. Five companies own most of the world's serious compute. The bet here is millions of owners instead, one garage circuit at a time, and the network that coordinates them is a Bittensor subnet. Crypto spent a decade promising real world assets. This is the reverse, and it might matter more: a real world asset produced by crypto. The factory starts next month. It's all an insider game. Trump wants to charge $100,000 per month for his platform, so you'll receive real-time updates. This is the final stage of the financial system, and it's a corrupt one. You ask yourself; why has #Crypto and #Bitcoin been going down so much? Why would you ever sell anything? We are living through the fastest acceleration of technology in all of human history. The financial system is being rebuilt on crypto rails: agentic identity, robotic identity, human identity, all of it moving onchain. And yet people are still trying to time it. Selling because someone somewhere thinks the liquidity cycle might soften for a bit is bananas. You don't time a technology adoption cycle. You accumulate through it. I expect 2027 to be the year TAO goes ultra parabolic. The tokenomics are baked into the ecosystem like Bitcoin and BTC. People need to remember that it takes 1 year post halving on average for BTC to get the supply shock that sends it into the stratosphere. The fact we are 9 months into a bear market combined with the fact that we are 8 months post halving lead me to believe TAO can easily do 5x-15x next year to kick off the next cycle. This bear market drawing to a close in t-3 months, halving supply shock t-4 months, subnets being listed on major exchanges … the patient man wins.

Two people who were early in Bitcoin and early in Ethereum just went on record about $TAO. One of them wrote a book about Bitcoin in 2013. The other invested in the Ethereum ICO in 2015.
