@silvpokkii Heads up: he also directed Todoketai Melody. That's a recommended watch with substantial new scenes (unlike Movie 1, which is an inessential recap that only adds longer performance scenes). x.com/Yuyucow/status…

By the way: Todoketai Melody is a new movie masked as an Euphonium 2 recap. Most scenes are either new or reframed, straight up improvement.

Here are a few photos of Computer Land Tachikawa (コンピューターランド立川), Nihon Falcom's PC store they operated in the early 80s. Before they began publishing PC games in 1982, this was Falcom's primary business.

@richgel999 In general, one gets the feeling that Ensemble engines are architectured differently from the usual "strictly enforced tickrate" & may not fit into those assumptions, so I'd certainly appreciate learning more about Genie too!

@richgel999 Age1/2=Genie, AoM/Age3/Age Online=BANG. Genie tickrate seems to be 60Hz (though Age1/2 are usually played on >1.0 speeds, and the actual speeds vary wildly during a session). My question is for BANG, which has the whole "time unit=1ms, no mention of actual ticks" thing.

@richgel999 Sorry for being so abrupt, but can you give me an overview on how BANG engine handles game logic ticks? Most moddable RTS engines expose their tickrates, but BANG only shows 1 time unit=1ms. 1000Hz can't be its actual tickrate, right?
