@alice_exclaims I don't think it's purity that's the problem. I think it's media. They want media to give them that stamp of approval, left or right, they don't care, as long as it gives them clicks.

@UGEplex @Wizards_DnD Nah man, don't start. I am 20 years older than the people I GM. They have different attitudes and perspectives than I do. One is not better or whatever. But it's different. I'm trying to recognize that and work with it. Don't try to portray this as "I don't see age."

@UGEplex @Wizards_DnD Really? That is honestly fascinating. In my experience Gen Z finds everything boring & old (though maybe they're just talking about me!) & I'd love to know what about it caught their interest. Let's be honest, Spelljammer wasn't even popular way back when. This is nostalgia.

@UGEplex I hate PvP. I hate boardgames that pit me against my friends (unless they're silly like King of Tokyo or Sushi Go). But a game like Risk or Axis & Allies? Hard no. When coop games became a thing, I honestly fucking danced around. One of the reasons I love Gloomhaven so much.

@DoNaytion Happy birthday! In my D&D group, four of six had birthdays this month. Counting you and S about 80% of the people I know are Ares. No wonder we're such a quarrelsome mess!
