GTA VI PS5 preorders are outselling Xbox 6-1. Huge story, very dramatic. Except those numbers come from affiliate link clicks, not actual sales data. Even Xbox had to clarify this. But why let facts get in the way of a good console war headline?

Console prices have been rising across the board. Memory and storage costs are expected to double again by 2027. If this trajectory continues, next-gen consoles could launch at prices nobody is ready for. The future of console gaming is starting to look genuinely concerning.

The director of Ori says Game Pass doesn't have enough quality games. Forza Horizon 6 alone made that argument look embarrassing. And that's before you even get to the rest of the catalog. Funny take from someone who burned bridges with Microsoft.

Worth some context: Thomas Mahler's studio Moon Studios had a turbulent relationship with Microsoft. Xbox cut ties with them following workplace abuse allegations against Mahler himself. He hasn't worked with Microsoft since. Make of that what you will.
