A consulting company surveyed 6,000 employees across many different industries. One thing stood out: people who worked on the highest-performing teams consistently said they had regular periods of quiet, uninterrupted time to do their work. The study also found that employees on these high-performing teams were 52% more likely to have access to a quiet place where they could concentrate. Interestingly, things like free coffee, gyms, and trendy collaborative workspaces weren’t what made the biggest difference. The takeaway is simple: Productivity isn’t just about where people work-it’s about whether they have the time and space to focus without constant interruptions. 🏡 A Quick Tip for Anyone Shopping for a New Construction Home This Weekend If you’re planning to visit model homes, here’s something many buyers don’t realize… The friendly on-site sales consultant works for the builder. Their job is to represent the builder’s interests and help sell that community. They do a great job explaining floor plans, available homes, design options, incentives, and construction timelines. A buyer’s REALTOR® has a different role. Our job is to represent you. That means helping you: ✔️ Compare builders and communities ✔️ Negotiate on your behalf ✔️ Identify additional incentives that may be available ✔️ Explain how builder concessions can often be used for upgrades such as fencing, blinds, ceiling fans, appliances, or other options that fit your needs ✔️ Review contracts and deadlines ✔️ Attend the blue tape walkthrough and final walkthrough ✔️ Stay with you from contract to closing One of the biggest mistakes I see is when buyers are out exploring neighborhoods on a Saturday, stop into a model home “just to look,” and end up registering with the builder before talking with their own REALTOR®. By that point, it may be too late for an outside agent to represent them, depending on the builder’s policies. This isn’t about anyone doing anything wrong. Builder representatives and buyer’s agents simply have different responsibilities and both play an important role in the process. If you’re thinking about visiting new construction communities, I’d be happy to meet you there, or simply answer your questions before you go.
