The worst of state and market in one institution. Proliferation of managerial roles of questionable utility, while the ‘internal market’ processes lead to completely irrational and extremely costly things like different wards having different suppliers for PPE etc

As it stands, the Liberal Democrats run the council. In theory if things go very bad they could lose enough seats to lose control today, but that’s would be quite a shocker, the seats they’re defending are rather safe
