I’ve seen this sentiment shared a few times, but my theory is people of the calibre this tweet is talking about can easily get into top US schools, and they *will* start doing that very quickly if a Waterloo and CMU education costs the same.

Top engineering schools in Canada (like Waterloo) are heavily subsidized by the government. A simple fix: charge students the full rate if they leave for the US right after graduation. Let’s do the math: - Domestic student: $18K/yr - International: $74K/yr - Taxpayer subsidy:

AFAICT I have no way of knowing if the browser window is a webview and if it’s stealing my password. I can’t tell very well if this is a phishing attack. Am I missing something?

On iOS when trying to log into to an app using a Google account, why do some apps require typing in my Google email and password as opposed to letting me select the already logged in account on device? This feels insanely insecure?

I just recieved a doordash order of coffee and half dozen bagel from Tim Hortons from a complete stranger. The food is sitting in my house now. Should I eat this? Is this is scam? This has got to be the weirdest scam ever if it is.
