@_TheDanWarren I like @marcuslemonis version — people, process, product — the tool is, I think, part of the process… unless the tool is the product? Regardless, it’s all got to be good and people first… always.

@TmnHzll @TheRevitKid i've worked on that for a bit -- for me it seemed be no better in the end than a subtractive model but a hell of a lot more complex to maintain -- love to see it working!

@Strong_Coffey @PhilosophyBIM Do the specifics of the extrusion or how the frame is installed affect the design or detailing? If not why are we adding it? Shim, sealant, weeps, etc. affect the design but the rest? I don't see how it's useful but can see, and show, how it can be a problem.

@tkunsman @PhilosophyBIM Lots of -reasons- that have more to do, I think, with -intent-, contracts, changes, etc. but the biggest technical issue is when these nested details are just imported DWGs.

@mengelmn @bobbyfijan the drive home, for me, is as also a time to get my head out of the workplace -- or at least to noodle through the last few problems of the day -- when i lived nearby i came home still in work-mode and that wasn't pleasant

@dgsimpson74 @_TheDanWarren @JithinPetertk Doe it matter if the local geometry in AutoCAD is within the limit whatever-it-is-these-days limit for Revit? I've seen files where the linework is 300 miles from the World Origin in AutoCAD that didn't give me any problems in Revit. Maybe there's an upper limit to this though.

@JacobWSmall @tinkotweets @brianmpayne in all my years of practice in the US I have rarely seen a set which had dims to outlets and receptacles on plans or elevations let alone those that were coordinated with the engineers -- good for y'all to be working at such amazing places though!!
