@VashKohime Yeah there’s one sequence towards the end of the first episode of The Old Man that I was shocked was directed by Watts because it had more visual panache than anything he has directed before or since (however I do think Wolfs has its moments even though the movie isn’t that good)

@AutismRonin I said this in a different reply thread but it’s a shame he’s gravitated towards gray color grading and mostly natural and practical lighting since switching to digital because IMO I still think his camerawork is aces especially in Shang Chi and most recently Send Help

@clkmotsmlvlle Since 2020, he’s given quite positive reviews of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, The Batman, and The Suicide Squad but I think he’s just not a huge fan of the superhero genre, especially not the recent stuff.

@RiascosJacob @bartonovopolis They’re not learning their lesson probs because whether or not his films are good, Levy seems like an execs dream (pleasant guy, finishes film under budget and under schedule, actors like him etc.) and probs because his last film with them netted them over a billion dollars

@sailorbrian @susahttrash Yeah I feel the death of 88 coming though because they have like no Western fans at all and are only making money off of loyal Eastern/Asian fans like HITC LA this year is literally only for one day now which is crazy and they downsized the NY festival last year
